Weight loss Medications (compound pharmacies)

Please note that the cost of your prescribed compound medication for weight loss will not be covered by insurance and will be your responsibility to pay out-of-pocket.

Semalutide (GLP1): Provides powerful weight loss results through a weekly injection protocol without having to radically modify diet and lifestyle.  This peptide is a non-stimulant, reduces cravings, makes you feel fuller for longer, and regulates blood sugar levels.

Tirzepatide: Glucagon Like Peptide-1 (GLP-1) and GIP this drug is a dual peptide—reducing appetite, sustaining satiety, and balancing blood sugar. The combination of these benefits over time means sustained weight loss for many.

Bella also known as Contrave (naltrexone/bupropion/B12): Works on two areas of your brain, the hunger center and the reward system, to reduce hunger and help control cravings.

Compounding pharmacies specialize in the creation of customized medications. These are made using pharmaceutical-grade active ingredients, typically in small batches or on-demand. This allows the medication to be tailored to the specific needs of each patient. Adjustments can include changes to the strength, dose, or form of the medication, the addition of flavoring, or the exclusion of unwanted or nonessential ingredients.

It’s important to note that compounded medications are not approved by the FDA in the same way that standard pharmaceutical medications are. They do not undergo clinical trials or other forms of testing. Despite this, compounding is a legal practice in the U.S. under federal law. It can be performed by any licensed pharmacist or physician in a state-licensed pharmacy or federal facility.
